The goals of Apex Protection Project are to continue their quest of protecting wolves and wolfdogs through educational experiences, rescue, and advocacy with the dream of living in a world where the wolf and all species are highly valued, protected and respected for the balance they bring to the ecosystem and for the gifts they offer to humanity. Apex is not technically open to the public but will do appointments when contacted far enough in advance, dependant on their schedule.
We are very excited to have Paula Ficara and Steve Wastell from apex protection project joining us to discuss the mission and goals set to further the education and advocacy of wolves and wolfdogs. Paula and Steve are the co-founders and directors of Apex Protection Project. Apex is a 501c3 non-profit wolfdog rescue, education, and advocacy organization located in the high desert north of Los Angeles, California against the Angeles Forest. Both Steve and Paula started working with wolves and wolfdogs at a local rescue about eight years ago and decided just over two years ago to start Apex with the goal of really focusing on their passion of education and advocacy.
